Los caballos del Italia Polo Challenge Trofeo U.S. POLO ASSN desfilaron en el centro de Cortina

Hubo desfile a caballo por el centro de Cortina como parte de la primer acción de la cuarta edición del Italia Polo Challenge “IPC 2023 TROFEO U.S. POLO ASSN’, el circuito de polo en pista que recorre Italia creado por Patricio Rattagan y realizado en colaboración con Adriano Motta y la FISE (Federación Italiana de Deportes Ecuestres). Partiendo del Hotel Savoia, los caballos atravesaron la calle principal de Cortina, dirigiéndose hacia el norte hasta la Piazza Pittori Fratelli Ghedina, antes de llegar frente a uno de los símbolos de la Perla de los Dolomitas, la Conchiglia de la Piazza Dibona, donde la alcalde Roberta Alverà recibió el desfile.

“Es un placer para nosotros tener un acontecimiento tan importante”, declaró Alverà. “Nos alegramos de que Cortina pueda seguir siendo la cuna del polo y de que este evento pueda llevar el nombre de Cortina por todo el mundo. Gracias a Alessandro Giachetti, jefe del departamento de polo de la FISE, por su insistencia en traer el Italia Polo Challenge a Cortina y mantenerlo vivo durante los años de pandemia. Estamos listos para disfrutar del espectáculo”.

“Quiero dar las gracias a la administración municipal, que ha creído en nosotros durante los últimos años”, declaró Alessandro Giachetti, responsable del departamento de polo de la FISE por su parte. A partir del miércoles 15 comenzará la verdadera competición en el polideportivo “Antonella De Rigo” de Fiames (donde la entrada será gratuita) todo está listo para los primeros partidos de la fase de grupos, que se abrirán a las 18.00 horas con el encuentro inaugural. Italia Polo Challenge Cortina is around the corner

There was a horse parade through the centre of Cortina as part of the first action of the fourth edition of the Italia Polo Challenge “IPC 2023 TROFEO U.S. POLO ASSN’, the polo circuit across Italy created by Patricio Rattagan and realised in collaboration with Adriano Motta and FISE (Italian Equestrian Sports Federation).

Starting from the Hotel Savoia, the horses crossed the main street of Cortina, heading north to Piazza Pittori Fratelli Ghedina, before arriving in front of one of the symbols of the Pearl of the Dolomites, the Conchiglia of Piazza Dibona, where Mayor Roberta Alverà welcomed the parade.

“It is a pleasure for us to have such an important event,” declared Alverà. “We are happy that Cortina can continue to be the birthplace of polo and that this event can carry the name of Cortina all over the world. Thanks to Alessandro Giachetti, head of the FISE polo department, for his insistence on bringing the Italia Polo Challenge to Cortina and keeping it alive during the pandemic years. We are ready to enjoy the show.”

“I would like to thank the municipal administration, who have believed in us over the last few years,” said Alessandro Giachetti.

From Wednesday 15th the real competition will start at the sports centre “Antonella De Rigo” of Fiames (where the entrance will be free) everything is ready for the first matches of the group stage, which will open at 18.00 with the opening match. See fixture and teams here
